Occasion WITEC Alpha300 Raman microscope currently available.

The confocal Occasion Raman microscope from Witec offers the unique possibility of obtaining chemical information with a resolution of up to 300 nm. This means that the distribution of different components within a sample can be analyzed in high resolution without complex sample preparation and under ambient conditions. In addition to information from the sample surface, the confocal setup also makes it possible to gain an insight into the interior of a transparent sample and obtain 3D information.

A complete Raman spectrum is recorded at each pixel, resulting in an image consisting of tens of thousands of spectra. The recording time for a spectrum is only a few milliseconds, so a complete image can be recorded in just a few minutes. If the corresponding peak properties are then analyzed, a large number of images can be generated from just one data set. In addition to the distribution of chemical components, the crystallinity or material stress, for example, can also be analyzed. Further fields of application are typically found in polymer research, surface technology, geosciences and the pharmaceutical industry.
